Looking for a Christian Summer Day Camp opportunity for youth 5-12 years old during the weeks of June 14-August 20? Consider registering your child for the Samuel Summer Institute, located in Durham, North Carolina.
The Samuel Summer Institute Camp offers youth a chance to participate and develop their interest in a variety of camp offerings, to include: drama, sports, indoor activities, arts and crafts, music, technology, entrepreneurship, and a myriad of other activities. Under the supervision of qualified, conscientious and nurturing staff, youth will also experience the excitement of Biblical Teachings. The Samuel Summer Institute Camp will be a place of fun and learning while growing closer to God. This summer's theme is "Heroes in the Bible".
The camp will be held at One Love Ministries. To register, parents please call Elder Pauline Fitzpatrick at (919) 412-3601 or Minister Jason Brookes (919) 697-1172. There is no registration deadline and registration fee is $25.00. Spaces are limited, so call now to register your child for The Samuel Summer Institute Day Camp.

Please be reminded of the Boys 2 Men Sunday being held this Sunday, June 6, 2010 at One Love Ministries. Men bring your sons, nephews, little cousins, brothers, and all other young male relatives to this event. It is sure to be fun! Also, if you have not registered, please simply respond to this email indicating your name and the number of boys you will be bringing. We need this in order to make sure the caterer is prepared and that all registered guests will be able to dine comfortably! Lastly, if you or someone you know, has a son that needs to be "adopted" for this Sunday, reply to this email as well. We have plenty of men who would love to hangout with them on Sunday. Ministerial Training Class
Greetings! Interested in learning more of the Word of God in a seminary type atmosphere taught by a well-respected theologian? Well, we have good news for you! One Love Ministries is hosting a ministerial training program! This ministerial training class will start this Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 6:30 pm. We do apologize for the short notice. However, the first class will be informational for the most part. The total cost of the class is $130 (isn't that a blessing?) and includes books, handouts, and all other materials. You are welcome to pay the full amount or a deposit of $35 and the balance will be due by the end of June. Please be advised that kids will not be allowed in the class. It may be possible for those of us with children to get together and have one of the teens to help with children (watch them in Kings Kids room for a love offering). Also, the expectation is that no more than two classes can be missed. Ministers who want to qualify for ordination are advised to complete both parts of the course. Pastor anticipates that the course will be year round. Part 1 will start again next year possibly in March 2011. It is strongly suggested that ministers and those desiring to be associate ministers attend basic theology part I at a minimum. There is a third part of curriculum that is four classes that those seeking ordination must complete to qualify. Graduation will be at the end if part II.
